Heavenly Blue

Heavenly Blue is a seven piece discordant punk band from Detroit, MI. The band initially harkened back to familiar dynamics of harmony versus dissonance, but coupled that sound with new influences and sonics. Prior to releasing any music, the band toured as much as possible, embarking on a variety of runs with friends Frail Body and Touche Amore. While on their west coast tour in 2023, their self-produced first track, “Certain Distance” debuted on Secret Voice’s “Balladeers Redefined” compilation. Heavenly Blue’s debut record, We Have The Answer, released in April 2024, exploring themes of depersonalization, loss, posthumanism, cybernetics, and illusions of agency. A modern update to an overlooked form, Heavenly Blue sonically achieves a sound resembling past forms, but for a new audience with a new mentality and social makeup.
